My Story
How It All Started
Since losing my husband in 2015, aged just 50, Sew Many Memories has been my lifeline, my passion, my therapist and my joy. From doing those first heartbreaking bears for my children, from their dad's favourite clothes, to spending evenings in the back bedroom making for family and friend, it has grown and grown beyond my wildest expectations.
I've outgrown the back bedroom now and have moved into a workshop in a craft village, where I'm surrounded by inspiring and creative artisans producing their own incredible works.
I work on my own and it's because of my personal journey through grief, that I fully understand the pain of losing a loved one and the importance of keeping them alive through the memories they left behind. Every bear that leaves my table has been made with 100% effort and love. It never ceases to amaze me how character and personality shine through and every bear (or whatever I make) takes on it's own individuality. I can't wait to bring a little joy, beaming smiles and sometimes happy tears to those left behind. The memories pour right there and then. I have to add that I get as much from making the bears as those that receive them do. This isn't a job for me - its a passion and a pleasure ❤❤❤
